How do I contribute?
Submissions for Issue #1 are now closed, but you may still submit work to appear on the website or in future print issues.
Note that we are accepting both visual and written contributions for the website.
If you’re looking to contribute, please send us an email at
keepleftmagazine@gmail.com
with either a completed draft, or summary of your idea. Make sure to read our editorial guidelines before submitting.
What are we looking for?
Keep Left exists at the intersection of progressive politics and culture. We want progressive young people to share their knowledge, experience, and art.
This can be in the form of opinion pieces, personal essays, guides/explainers, collages, poems, short stories, sketches, paintings, photographs, and really anything you can imagine.
We view the definition of “progressive” and “political” in a very broad sense. As long as you follow our editorial guidelines, you could write an article on any virtually any topic, like for example:
- how you organised your workplace
- the importance of bees to the ecosystem
- the activist music of Joan Baez
- how to set up a protest
- the history of gothic literature
or share some of your creative work, like:
- art depicting the overran Netzarim corridor
- photographs of old trade union artefacts
- a personal essay on your political awakening
Really, don’t get too hung up on relevance — the sky’s the limit!
If you have an idea but aren’t totally sure about it, feel free to contact us and we’ll be happy to discuss your idea with you.
